Hello everyone! My name is Mary Deputie and I will like to welcome you to me e-folio. I am glad to have you visit.

 I am currently in my undergrad studies at the College of Saint Benedict/ Saint John’s University. My major and licensure focus is Elementary Education with a concentration in Communication/ Language Arts. After graduation I aspire to attend a graduate program and obtain a Mater’s of Arts in Education.  I also aspire to teach in the urban city or fortunately to someday teach abroad.

Being able to get an education had always been important to me. As a young girl, coming from Africa and being fortunate enough to learn in the United States, I see myself as one the lucky few from my homeland of Liberia. Having a drive to learn has led me along a road in which I am proud to have taken. It has led me to where I am today. To pass on knowledge in which I’ve been privileged to achieve and in the field of educating, has for long burn in me and now I am capable of putting into attention. In my belief, schools and educators are the connecting chains between generations of people. With schooling one is capable to gain knowledge. To gain knowledge is an empowerment that no one can take away from you. With it you must do your best to better our society. This is my value towards education and the main force that drives my ambition to teach.
